19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his maiden title for 882 days with success over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, winning just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in particular - led to him dropping out of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-term trainer Cervara.
Presently working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks the player's initial championship after the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface after spring of that year.
The win also signifies he has achieved 21 victories at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, including in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and recurring reactions on the tennis court had prompted observers to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and play assertively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors swapped breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his first ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
The opponent defended four early-game opportunities in a competitive final set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, he earned victory with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman incapable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
